Increase to Mileage Rates

Norfolk County Branch have always paid mileage at the rate recommended by the Inland Revenue (IR). From 5 April 2011, the IR increased their rates from 40p to 45p per mile.

A vote was held at the recent Branch Executive meeting to increase mileage paid by the Branch to bring it in line with this change, and the motion was carried with two abstentions and no-one opposing. It is expected that the increase will result in an increase of £2k - £3k per annum to the Branch as an ongoing budget commitment, though a portion of the costs will be met by an increased allocation of funds from the Regional Office.
