Cuts are not inevitable, Clickhere here to see the myths countered Norfolk County Council Redundancy Pay Cuts The consultation with members in Norfolk County Council on support for an Industrial Action Ballot on the proposed redundancy entitlements cut closes on Friday 10 September.
It is vital that we have a good turnout in this ballot, a low turnout or a NO vote means acceptance of this cut to redundancy payments. All UNISON members should make their views known by voting. Vote Now- Support Your Union and Protect Your Redundancy Pay and Future! If you have not received your ballot slip, please contact the Branch Office immediately.
UNISON, GMB, PCS and Unite, the Union Joint Meeting - Coalition Against the Cuts The coalition government has already made swinging cuts across the public sector, decimating valuable front line services, and making many people unemployed in the process. We have to deliver united action to fight these proposals and need to galvanise trade union members and the wider community. The successful campaign to oppose the Poll Tax shows it can be done. Joint Union Meeting All Welcome Wednesday 8 September 2010 7pm in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Norwich
UNISON and PCS believe we need to convince the general public that these cuts are unnecessary, and to inform them of the damage they will do to us all. We want to work out a strategy to take a broad based campaign forward within Norfolk.
